Amsterdam
We went for a long weekend to Amsterdam. The first day we spent looking at all the shops and cafes. We enjoyed the town square and had a look at the town hall and monument. We walked around the canals and admired all the crooked buildings. Also tried some raw herring, the national dish. We met up with Bonnie when she flew in later that day, and went walking around the red light district that night.
We visited Ann Frank House the next morning, which was very moving. Shopping for clogs was the next priority, then we took a tour of the Marijuana Museum. We went on the floating Poezenboot Cat Refuge boat and Darren spotted The Doors Coffeeshop nearby. We went to the De Gooyer Windmill that evening.
Our last day we hired a canal bike and did a lap around the city. We went to the city park, tried eel in a bun (a popular snack), and went to the sex museum. Later we went to the flower markets, and Rembrandt Square before heading home.
